I met the kid behind this website once. He’s a friend of Amy’s. He walked up to me, petted my hair, and said, “You have lovely hair. Can I style it?” I said, sure, why not (OBVIOUSLY), but then he wandered off. Anyway, if you like lists, here’s a website. -matc
“I don’t know if I know anyone, with the exception of the early inventors of rock music [who wasn’t influenced by something]. And even then, the kind of study that had to go on — like the gospel background in Jerry Lee Lewis’ piano playing, and it’s completely informed with church and honky-tonk — and you have to study that stuff. I don’t mean study in the sense of literal schooling, but you’re drawn to things that make you seek out what they’re about. That’s studying. And whether you’re drawn to gospel music or church music or honky-tonk music, it informs your character and it informs your talent.”—Bruce Springsteen, interviewed by Ed Norton on NPR (via tenrewnna)
I was chatting with a friend this morning about all the corny Veterans day platitudes all over Facebook and he brought up a really good point: if we as Americans were really serious about honoring our veterans and service people, we’d take a different approach.
Original Cornball Approach:
Today we honor the men and women who have served our country and sacrificed so much to ensure our freedom. One day is not enough to express our gratitude for you service.
Are you a former serviceman? If so, hit me up at (xxx) xxx-xxxx to schedule your Veterans Day blowjob and full body massage. Just my way of saying thanks.
